Love how easy it demonstrate! Each step is clear, and they are so beautiful!

I have evangelized this book to many visitors who have admired my blossoms in my studio. It beats every other paper flower book I've seen, most of which take short cuts (using paper punches for petal shapes,styrofoam balls for centers, etc.) or use heavy paper.I've found some inconsistencies in the directions, but if you read enough of the instructions and scrutinize the photos (which I wish were larger), you can figure out what's what. Also helpful to see videos (youtube) of her crafting blossoms and taping the wire. I've just finished the flower wreath (photo attached) which is a xmas gift for a dear friend. I even freestyled some California poppies that aren't in the book.I always tell people that these are not difficult to make (really!) and it's very relaxing and therapeutic to make them and then you end up with a beautiful flower! The author recommends using the Japanese paper scissors (I paid $32 locally) and I agree they make all the difference. Enjoy the process and the result!

I was very happy with my purchase of this book. I'm a big fan of making paper flowers, although most other books I have call for primarily crepe paper, which can be more difficult to find. Crepe paper is still called for in the materials for some of the flowers in this book, but most of the flowers are actually made from tissue paper, which is fairly easy to find at any craft or party store. The book also provides information on where to find materials online, which was helpful.As for the flowers themselves, I was pleased with the variety of types offered. While I was primarily looking for blooms to use in a bouquet, the book also offers a number of smaller and larger flowers for variety. I've made several flowers from the book and was very pleased with the results; the tree peony in particular came out beautifully. It does take a little practice to get the bleaching technique down for some of the flowers, but I can say the end look is worth it. The lighter, softer texture of the tissue paper, particularly when bleached or dipped in water, contrasts very nicely in a display with more traditional crepe paper flowers. I found the directions fairly easy to follow, although I do have a little more experience with some of the techniques outlines in the book.Overall, another wonderful resource to have in my collection!

This was a beautiful book with beautiful examples and instructions. However I returned it because I prefer making flowers with cardstock. The instructions for this book are for crepe paper and tissue paper.

My wife bought this book after seeing Livia's work in the window of John Derian in NY and it sparked an entire new hobby. Of all the books she has bought subsequently, this is the one she always returns to.

Good book for paper flower beginner. Covered lots of information about making, techniques and materials.Great layout design, easy to read.

Appreciated that each flower comes with it's own instructions and photos. Even provided photos of the tools that are recommended, making it very easy to understand. The author took the time to explain much of the flower making process. I've always wanted to try making realistic paper flowers and now I can. Working on several small bouquets as gifts.Do not like that the book does not lie flat while trying to follow the instructions.

The realism of these paper flowers is breathtaking and very inspiring. The author has been so generous in sharing so many tips and tricks to make each arrangement a work of art.

As usual, Patterson did it again. Two stories in one book. Both were very good reads. It kept you interested and guessing throughout both books. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good mystery.

I chose this rating because James Patterson keeps you on the edge of your seat. At every turn there is always something different in the book. He is such a good author, and I jump at every new book he writes.

These two little stories were so so. I have said this before and unfortunately I have to say it again, Mr. Patterson is spreading himself too thin with all the short story books, the continuing sequels of Alex Cross and my personal favorite, Michael Bennett, and the other new ones he has added to his collection. And I haven’t mentioned the children books, etc, please Mr. Patterson, cut back a bit and do more of your old time books that we love, the Women’s Club series and Mr. Cross&Mr. Bennett. Like I said these two stories were so so but they could have been great....

True real life crimes portrayed in this book. As James Patterson says "Real life is stranger than fiction". These 2 crime stories are written with such compelling villains, and crimes that seem unreal. The villains make stupid mistakes. I hope there are more Murder is Forever books.

I've read more than 30 books written by James Patterson and this one is in no way similar. It appears to have been written by a very inexperienced writer. There is no character development and the dialogue is short and choppy. Patterson, please go back to your previous style.

i enjoy all three books i thought were great.and enjoy watch the tv shows.i hope write more books like this.either love them or hate them.i real love read them.and well buy more when writes them and easy read to.

I am a huge Patterson fan but this guest author was not on the same level . I also had no ideal it was a collection of stories . Very disappointing after the first story .

I give this book 5 stars because for a fictionalized version of this true story Patterson has more facts in it than the fictional garbage the prosecution gave the jury in 1987, and what Nancy's inept defense attorneys failed to object to. As a person well versed on this case I can tell that Patterson and his team did their research. I will give you a few examples of the prosecution's lies. Nancy was never out buying distilled water with Danny for the box. Danny used an old milk cartoon with tap water. This was confirmed with a lab analysis. Ramsey Small answered the call at midnight and said it was a man. The police reports state that Ramsey said it was a man who took the call, however, in Nancy's trial, Ramsey Small gets on the stand and was coached to say it was a deep voice. The defense prosecution said in closing arguments that Nancy made the ransom call. How can two people be accused of the same thing and one, Danny Edwards, be charged with impersonating a police officer? A phone directory mysteriously turns up in Nancy's room. The name Small was circled in the top corner. It was taken to a handwriting analysis and confirmed that a left-handed person circled it. Both Nancy and Danny are right-handed. Who would have circled it? It wasn't neither of them. Perhaps planted? Nancy was never running around buying supplies or burying a box with Danny. It can be proven that she was somewhere else at the same time making a phone call with phone records. What I mention above can be proven to be lies with hard evidence, but the courts continue to deny all of Nancy's appeals. What are they afraid of? Are they afraid that the judicial system will be disgraced? This was a heinous crime done by one man and that man was Danny Edwards. Nancy made up one lie at the beginning of her interrogation because she thought Danny got her involved with drugs and the prosecution continued to lie and twist everything she said to make her look guilty. There was no reason for her to think that he could do something so evil. Everyone in Kankakee had their minds made up that Nancy Rish was guilty of this crime before she even went to trial and the prosecution wanted a slam dunk to make sure she went down. She's been in prison for over 30 years now. People continue to bash her without knowing the actual facts. People will read the appeal decision and think that the decision was right because it's based off of the prosecutions lies. One " Kankakein" stated in one of the reviews on here that this book was written to help Nancy's latest appeal. How would Nancy or anyone she knows be in contact with James Patterson and be able to convince him to right a book about the case? That's just ludicrous!!! Patterson obviously did his homework. They need to learn the hard facts of the case, not the prosecution's version. Danny Edwards is where he belongs!!! Nancy Rish isn't !!! She has been in prison for too long for UNKNOWINGLY giving Edwards a ride to commit a crime. The book arrived timely. 3* as I found the content to be unnecessary over-complicated but still couldn't find better solutions for the answers it claims you suppose to find.

This is an incredibly honest, thorough look at behavioral realities in working with young children. Even after working with young children for over a decade, each chapter had a useful strategy, new idea, or approach to consider. Truly a solid guidebook to anyone looking to approach all children with developmentally appropriate teaching strategies.

I love this so much I glad I got it on amazon. I'm going to school right now and taking a class right now that inturns we needed this book. This book is so imformal it has taught me a lot about my son condition and how to work with his challenging behavior. Thank Amazon!

I'm an aunt/good friend looking for insights into how to deal with nieces/nephews/friends children when they say or do mind-boggling things. I find this book helpful though it's written primarily for school teachers who have a bit stronger relationship with given children than I do because of less contact/less formal relationship. It dovetails well with meditation work I do.

great book...all teachers should read this

I had to have this book for a college course, and Amazon was much cheaper than my other book buying options. I prefer ebooks for space, ease of use, and the fact that I was able to receive it immediately on my Kindle. The format of the book wasn't quite as good as I would have liked though. The pages of the ebook are true to the same format and layout as the printed book, so it makes the text a bit small or harder to turn the pages (if you zoom in). Not a horrible problem, but a slight inconvenience.
