This is a beautiful book that empowers children to be themselves and teaches tolerance for those who might look different from themselves. It is such a sweet book with wonderful illustrations. Can't go wrong with this one.

I absolutely loved this book. It had a wonderful message that needs to be shared especially with children at an early age. No doubt the essays are not the last word on a particular topic--one needs to read all the scholarship on that topic-no doubt many books. Having given all the caveats, if you are a book lover, this is a feast if you only like 50% of the topics and essays. It serves as a great introduction. My only caveat is that the print can be small if one's eyes are no longer young.
